The Preparation

Preparing the pork ribs before they go into the pan is a very important step in creating the perfect sweet and spicy pork ribs dish. You want to ensure that the pork ribs are tender and flavourful.

To do this, you’ll want to start by boiling the pork spare ribs in a large stockpot filled with water. Boil for about 10 – 15 minutes, or until the pork ribs remove its impurities. Set aside the pork ribs and let it cool down before cooking.

Next, it’s time to get your wok or pan out – this is where all the fun happens! Heat up some oil in your wok and add in garlic, ginger, onions, pork ribs, pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, lemon soda, water. Slow cook the pork ribs until tender. Cooking Tips

Making the perfect sweet and spicy pork ribs dish at home doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are a few tips to get you started on your delicious journey:

Quality Ingredients

First and foremost, make sure you use quality pork spare ribs for your sweet and spicy pork ribs dish. The flavor of the meat is key—the better the cut of meat, the more flavorful your dish will be.

Get Creative With Your Spices

When selecting spices for your dish, feel free to get creative. Try adding other herbs or spices that you like to create unique flavor combinations. You can also add heat by incorporating more chili peppers or milder flavors with garlic and ginger.

Don’t Overcook Your Meat

While cooking pork spare ribs, take care not to overcook them as this can make them tough and chewy. Cook the ribs until they are slightly tender (around 45 minutes) then sauté in a wok or pan with your ingredients over medium heat until they are cooked through.

Serve & Enjoy!

Once your sweet and spicy pork ribs are cooked, you can serve it with steamed rice or noodles for an extra burst of flavor. Finish off with a sprinkle of green chilies, red chilies and spring onions for added color and texture before serving and enjoy!
